Ten years ago, Lions Peak Financial Group was founded with a simple goal: to help Canadians make better financial decisions by providing honest advice, practical education, and insurance solutions that genuinely fit their needs.
What started as one advisor helping a handful of families has grown into a business that has worked with thousands of Canadians from coast to coast. Along the way, one thing has never changed—our belief that financial advice should educate first and sell second.
As we celebrate our 10th anniversary, we'd like to reflect on where we've been, what we've learned, and where we're heading next.
Looking Back
When we first opened our doors, our focus wasn't simply on selling life insurance.
It was on helping people understand it.
Over the past decade, we've met with young families buying their very first policy, business owners protecting the companies they've spent years building, retirees planning their estates, and individuals who simply wanted honest answers without feeling pressured.
One lesson has become clear after thousands of conversations:
Most people don't avoid life insurance because they don't care about their families.
They avoid it because they don't know where to start.
Insurance can seem complicated. There are unfamiliar terms, dozens of product options, and an overwhelming amount of information online. Our role has always been to simplify that process and help clients make informed decisions they feel comfortable with.
Education Has Always Been Our Foundation
One of the things we're most proud of isn't a sales number or an award.
It's the amount of education we've shared.
Whether through one-on-one conversations, articles, guides, videos, or educational resources, we've always believed that informed clients make better decisions.
That philosophy eventually led to the creation of LifeSimple.
LifeSimple wasn't built to replace advice—it was built to improve it.
Our goal was to create a place where Canadians could learn about life insurance in plain language, compare options, understand how different products work, and move through the process with confidence rather than confusion.
Buying life insurance shouldn't feel intimidating.
It should feel clear, straightforward, and empowering.
Thank You
No business reaches ten years without trust.
To every client who has chosen to work with us, referred a family member, shared our articles, or simply taken the time to ask thoughtful questions—thank you.
Your confidence in us has allowed our business to grow while staying true to the values that mattered on day one.
We're incredibly grateful for every conversation we've had and every family we've had the opportunity to help protect.
Looking Ahead
While we're proud of what we've accomplished, we believe the next ten years are even more exciting.
Technology continues to change how Canadians research financial products, but one thing remains constant: people still value honest advice from someone they trust.
Over the coming years, we'll continue investing in educational content, improving LifeSimple, simplifying the insurance buying experience, and making it easier for Canadians to access clear, unbiased information before making important financial decisions.
We'll continue expanding our library of articles, improving our online tools, and refining every part of the client experience—from the first question someone asks to the day their policy is in place.
Our mission hasn't changed.
Help people understand.
Help people protect what matters most.
Help people make confident financial decisions.
Here's to the Next 10 Years
The past decade has been filled with learning, growth, and countless meaningful conversations.
We're excited for what's ahead.
As the insurance landscape continues to evolve, our commitment remains the same: provide trusted advice, practical education, and a client experience built around transparency, professionalism, and long-term relationships.
Thank you for being part of our journey.
Here's to the next ten years.
